Why Weed Stocks Got a Pop This Week (And Should Continue Higher This Year)

American cannabis stocks are going to do very well for the rest of 2021…

And likely this entire decade.

The industry is still so small…

Only worth about $25 billion in the U.S. today.

But with all the positive news happening in the space, it should at least double to $50 billion by 2025.

That's because more states are in the process of legalizing it now.

It's really that simple – the more states that legalize it, the more the entire industry is worth because companies can sell to more people.

Five more states just legalized cannabis in 2020 – New Jersey, Vermont, Arizona, Montana, and South Dakota.

That's 10% of the entire United States when you think about it…

And just this week (on March 15) legal cannabis just got a vote of confidence from the 4th biggest state in the U.S… New York.

With a population of nearly 20 million people, the state of New York would give the entire cannabis industry a huge boost.

On Monday, New York's governor Andrew Cuomo said New York is “very close” to legalizing recreational marijuana.

“Passing marijuana reform and legalizing recreational marijuana, we’ve tried to do that for the past three years,” Cuomo said. “We have to get it done this year.”
